Software Developer

We're in search of several software developers / programmers who are proficient in PHP and familiar with a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, & PHP). This person will become a SME (subject matter expert) of one of the aspects of OmniCards going forward. For example, we currently have 4 software developers and we want each to have a specific segment of what we do to be owned by the developer - such as our Call Center application or our Build a Card solution. we have several specific areas of focus. This person will also assist in troubleshooting bugs and system errors as needed. As part of the development team, you will be involved in the entire life-cycle of a project which includes Business Specifications Review/Input, Technical Specification, Coding, Quality Assurance, and Release Management. The person will work under or in conjunction with the Lead Developer and under the person we hire as CTO.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields/experience.
• Strong PHP skills in both object-oriented and procedural programming (4+ years).
• Proficient in MySQL and relational databases and schema creation.
• Proven track record of seeing projects through the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
• Basic configuration knowledge of Apache web servers a plus.
• Strong HTML, JavaScript, and CSS knowledge.
• Previous work with shell scripting with Perl and basic understanding of Linux.
• Commitment to quality and teamwork.
• Can work with little guidance.
• Compensation will be dependent upon experience level.
